Gotta Start Somewhere!

I have been a blog lover for just over a year now and decided it was time to start my own! I can not think of a better way to keep friends and family updated!

I thought I would start my first post off about a small little visit we took to
Pops a few weeks ago. It was Nana's birthday and she had decided on celebrating at Pops a service station/ gas station with over 500 different kind of soda's. Pops is located in Arcadia, OK just off old HWY 66. After a quick drive from Norman Pops appeared out of nowhere. A large free standing soda pop marked our stop. After we all piled out and withstood the 40+ Oklahoma breeze we had arrived. Glancing down at Gabe, who by this time was walking a bit odd and holding his hands up, I noticed that he had gum residue all over his face, hands and hair! We ran to the bathroom trying soap and water to save him. But the paper towels only stuck to all the gum. It felt like a modge podge craft day! I found out that Shout wipes can get anything off a 4 year old and we were on our way.

We took a set in our booth and ordered up a few great hamburgers and fries. While we waited for our food the kiddos and I headed over to the selection of soda's on the other side of the joint. It was a full operating gas station and everyone stood about 4 deep trying to look at the huge selection before them. Gabe went out on a limb and got a root beer and Hannah got a root beer float. With age I am hoping that they broaden thier horizon's!

However, the highlight of the visit was when Gabe and Hannah realized that they could take all the "free" bottle caps they could find. Thus began their search across the floors, near the trash cans and finally in the bottle top deposit box! They had a blast seeing how many different kinds they could get. So we left for home each of them with a cup full of bottle caps and big dreams of what they where going to do with them.
